Shopping Policies

Account Registration & Sign In

Make shopping with Avon easier by creating an account. All you need to enter is your name, email address, and password. You can fill out the rest of your account information at your leisure.

We also offer the option of shopping as a Guest Shopper. We’ll still need your email address when you place your order in case we need to contact you.

 

First Time Signing into Avon.com

All users will be required to reset their passwords the first time they sign in on Avon.com, including social sign-in methods with Facebook, Google and Apple. Once you’ve signed in the first time and reset password is complete, you can use your credentials to access Avon.com any time.

When entering your email address to sign in (all lowercase), you will automatically be presented a message explaining that you need to reset your password. The message form will also include an entry field for the security code you’ll be sent. The same process will be used if you click on the Facebook, Apple or Google sign-in methods; you will be sent an email and required to reset your Avon password.

You will receive an email with a security code to enter on the site. The security code will only be valid for 30 minutes. (If needed, you can be sent a new code if time has elapsed, by clicking the Send Another Code button.) Once you enter the code, the Continue button will activate.

Next, create your password by entering your new password. You will be prompted to re-enter your password and valid phone number that will be used for future password resets and personal information changes. First-time sign in only is when the email with the code is sent.

Once you set up your password, you’ll be taken back to the Sign In page to sign in.

 

My Account

Once you’ve registered with us, you can sign in and go to My Account to:

• View your order history
• Update your billing and/or shipping address
• Save credit card Information
• Select or change your Ambassador
• Update your email preferences

 

Avon Go Account Deletion

Password Help

If you’ve forgotten your password after you’ve signed into Avon.com for the first time, go to Avon.com and enter your email address (all lowercase) on the sign-in page, then select the “Forgot Your Password” link. Your email address must be in all lowercase and new password must be different than the last password and be between 8-18 characters with a combination of letters and numbers and at least 1 symbol.

For your security, we need to validate your request. You’ll be prompted to choose the phone number, home or mobile, where you want us to call you for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Based on your choice of home or mobile you’ll see one of these two messages:

• We’re calling your home phone (xxx-xxx-1324) to confirm your sign in
• We’re calling your mobile (xxx-xxx-1234) to confirm your sign in

Once you answer the call to validate your request, you’ll be prompted to create a new password on the sign-in page of Avon.com.

 

Payment Methods

We currently accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express and gift cards that contain the MasterCard or Visa logo.

For faster checkout you can store up to 5 different credit cards in your account. You may edit or delete this information at any time.

For your security, Avon requires you to enter your 3 or 4-digit card identification number (CID/CVV). For Visa, MasterCard and Discover, this can be found on the back of the card. It is the last 3 digits AFTER the credit card account number. For American Express, it is the 4 digits that can be found on the front of the card.

All forms of payment are subject to verification and review by Avon. We reserve the right to refuse to process any transaction, sale or shipment of orders due to suspected fraud or unauthorized or illegal activity.

We do not accept personal checks or money orders as a form of payment.

 

Billing Information Errors

Here are some tips if you receive any error messages on the Billing & Payment page:

• Please make sure the billing information you’ve entered, including street/city/state/zip code, matches your credit card billing address EXACTLY.
• Ensure that there are no typos or misspellings with your name, street address, city, state and zip code and avoid using abbreviations unless they appear that way on your statement.
• Call your issuing bank to ensure that your bank has recently updated their online transaction database. In some cases, the address they have entered into their online address verification system is outdated.
• You may want to try an old address, because it sometimes takes a while for banks to update their information. Addresses up to two years old can be authorized successfully.
• Only click the Place Order button once; if you click it again, you may place another hold on your funds.

*Please be aware that with each submission, you may place another hold on your funds for the total amount of the order. In many cases, submission with a valid credit card number with an incorrect billing address will still result in a hold on your account. If this occurs, please note that those authorizations will drop off your account within 3-5 business days depending on your issuing bank. Please contact your bank for further questions.

When your credit card is authorized, funds are put on hold until the transaction is completed. When the order is shipped, the payment is processed. If you use a Visa or MasterCard debit card, the amount of your order is held on your card and you do not have access to these funds until the hold is taken off. The hold is removed when the transaction is completed. Holds are usually taken off within 3-5 business days. Policies differ from bank to bank. Call your financial institution for more details.

On rare occasions, the issuing bank verification system or our partner online verification system is down. At these times, no authorizations or transactions can be processed. Please note that these outages can last for a few minutes to an hour. No authorizations or holds on your funds will be processed and nothing will be charged to your card. We recommend that you attempt to place your order again in an hour or contact our Customer Service department.

 

Coupon Codes

Coupon codes may be received by signing up for email or we may have a promotion posted on the website. You must enter the complete code in the coupon code box at checkout. Avon.com coupon codes are not case sensitive. You will see the details of the offer in the coupon code box at checkout. There may be a minimum merchandise purchase requirement (excluding shipping and taxes). The promotion will be reflected in your shopping bag and order confirmation. You may only use one coupon code per order. Some codes are email address-specific and/or for one time use only. All coupon codes are available for a limited time, while supplies last and cannot be used once expired.

 

Modifying Orders

Before you submit your order, you can view the contents and the total amount in your shopping bag. Once your order has been submitted successfully, it will be in a "Processing" status. Your order is immediately sent to the warehouse to prepare for shipping.

Once your order has been submitted, no further changes can be made. You can return any unwanted items and a credit will be applied to your card.

 

Purchase and Transaction Policies

If you wish to purchase any product or service or to make a payment to your Avon account through an Avon website (each such purchase or other transaction, a "Transaction"), you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your Transaction, including without limitation your credit card number, your credit card verification or other security code, the expiration date of your credit card, your billing address and your shipping information. Any such information provided through the Avon websites will be treated by Avon in accordance with this Agreement and the Avon Company Privacy Statement. Verification of information may be required prior to the acknowledgment or completion of any Transaction. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use any credit card(s) or other payment means used to initiate any transaction.

Avon reserves the right, with or without prior notice, (a) to change product or service descriptions, images and references; (b) to limit the available quantity of any product or service; (c) to honor or impose conditions on the honoring of, any coupon, coupon code, promotional code, incentive offer or other promotion; (d) to prevent or prohibit any user or customer from making any or all Transaction(s); and/or (e) to refuse to provide any user or customer with any product or service. Price and availability of any product or service offered through the Avon websites are subject to change without notice, and Avon shall not be responsible for errors in the prices or descriptions of such products or services. Refunds and exchanges will be subject to Avon's refund and exchange policies then in effect. You agree to pay all charges that may be incurred by you or on your behalf through the Avon websites, at the price(s) in effect when such charges are incurred, including without limitation all shipping and handling charges. In addition, you remain responsible for any taxes that may be applicable to your Transactions.
