Feb 4, 2022
Maybe you’re getting bored with the natural makeup look. Or perhaps you’re just ready to refresh your beauty routine. There’s no better time to try something new with your makeup. Take your makeup look to the next level with a colored eyeliner. Vibrantly colored eyeliner is a simple, yet effective way to create a unique beauty look while drawing attention to your most-seen feature—those eyes.

1. A GRAPHIC TEAL EYELINER LOOK
If you are easing into colored eye liner, opt for a green eyeliner, which creates the perfect pop of color. This model is wearing fmg Glimmer Diamond Eyeliner in Teal Sparkle. You can swipe green eyeliner on your upper and lower lash lines as usual, or if you are feeling bold, draw a line above your lid for a 60’s inspired, cool eyeliner look. Not to mention, it looks great on almost every eye color. For more ways to draw the line, discover our full eyeliner collection.

2. A PURPLE & PINK EYELINER DESIGN
For a romantic makeup look, play with purple and pink hues. This look used fmg Glimmer Eyeshadow Quad in Darling, but you can create a similar look using colored eyeliner. Start with hot pink hue on the inside as your base. Then, using purple eyeliner—we recommend fmg Glimmer Cream Eyeliner in Majestic Plum—draw an outline that mimics the shape of your eye and wing it out for classic cat eye makeup and blend. Don’t forget to top it off with a rosy flush.

3. A CONTRASTING EYELINER LOOK FOR LIGHT EYES
For those of you with light eyes, finding the right colored eyeliner can be tricky—it can either look too harsh on your eye color or hide your eyes if there’s not enough contrast.
If you have light brown, light hazel or light green eyes, a purple and green eye makeup look is for you. Model wears fmg Glimmer Diamond Eyeliner in Sugar Plum, fmg Glimmer Cream Eyeliner in Blackest Black, and fmg Glimmer Longwear Gel Eyeshadow in both Dragonfly and Bronze Butterfly. Contrasting metallic eyeliner shades not only pop together, but enhance your eyes to bring out their natural sparkle. A layer of gold eyeshadow helps to keep the metallic theme cohesive and amp up the glimmer even further.

4. COLORFUL & DRAMATIC EYE MAKEUP
Craving dramatic eye makeup? Take a cue from @iamtoribofficial and create a unique multicolored look. Tori B. completed her abstract eye makeup with fmg Glimmer Longwear Gel Eyeliner in Tornado. This dark gel liner is perfect to add on top of brighter colors if you’re someone who likes to get artistic with your makeup. Start with the lightest shades (like white and pink), then add darker colors (like blue and black) to make them stand out.  Create any shape or design you desire…the sky is the limit!

5. A TWO-TONED LOOK WITH PURPLE & BLUE EYELINER
This look proves that two colored eyeliners are better than one. Choose two colors close to each other on the color wheel (this look uses fmg Glimmer Cream Eyeliner in Purple Rain and Twilight Sparkle) and create a color-block effect. First, line your top lash line, creating a winged effect. For extra drama, draw another line over the top of your lid, connecting it to the wing. Finish with the other color, applying it to your bottom lash line and some of your upper lash line, stopping before it wings out. It doesn’t matter which color you use for the top or bottom—anything goes! This eye makeup look is both unique and modern.
